She also serves as the Chairperson of the Disposal, Staff Loans and IT Steering Committees, and is an executive member of the Integrity and Procurement Committees. With over 21 years of experience driving people and culture transformation, Lucy has held various management and executive roles in the financial industry's Human Resources and Corporate Relations. Much of her career was spent at Barclays Bank Zambia Plc, which later transitioned to Absa Bank Zambia Plc. Throughout her career, she has effectively managed large-scale HR operations, overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, and compliance efforts while also enhancing administrative processes to drive operational efficiency. Her leadership style emphasises collaboration, innovation and a commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive environments where employees can thrive. Lucy holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester (UK), a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Zambia, a Postgraduate Diploma in Lecturing/Teaching Methodology from the University of Lusaka, and additional certifications in Diplomatic Practice, Protocol, and Public Relations from the Zambia Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies. She is a full member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM) and the Institute of Directors of Zambia (IoDZ). Lucy is also certified as a Corporate Governance Trainer.
